About Ashton

Ashton is a Filmmaker and Photographer based out of Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. Ashton grew up with a strong creative interest in a range of different art forms. Having spent his younger years with a keen interest in photography, it wasn't until he finished school that he was able to truly realise his passion for film-making. This is when he began formal study at RMIT which began his career in film. Ashton uses his eye to create unique and engaging worlds with his camera, which support the wider story and motives of every project he works on.  Having completed his film studies and having worked on a multitude of independent productions, Ashton is seeking to grow his practical and professional knowledge as much as possible in the coming years. Ashton brings a dedicated work ethic, strong technical understanding, and a keen visual eye to every project, and is eager to contribute and learn from experienced crew in high-level productions.

2021-2023

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT)

Associate Degree in Screen and Media. Ashton attended RMIT to hone his skills in film-making. Here he was taught about a wide variety of specialties in film. His course focused on giving students as much hands on time as possible, so as to promote practical skills. Ashton was the writer, director, producer, cinematographer, and editor on his graduate film.

2014-2019

St Kevin's College

VCE. Ashton attended St Kevin's College, graduating VCE in 2019. Throughout his time at school he was able to form a strict self discipline and work ethic that would prove to be an asset in his later life.
